📝 Exercise Review

Comprehension Check

Completeness: missing · Accuracy: poor

No evidence of comprehension check for any of the three articles.

Vocab Builder

Completeness: partial

Student listed vocabulary words but definitions are incomplete or incorrect (e.g., 'boiled seh down' is unclear, 'backlash' example is awkward).

Critical Thinking

Completeness: partial · Depth: surface

Responses are general and do not reference specific facts or quotes from the articles. For example, the student does not mention balcony solar safety risks, AI job data, or Claude Code concerns.

See It Differently

Completeness: partial · Depth: fair

Student shows creative thinking about BCI but does not connect to any article. The response is off-topic for the assigned readings.

Quick Write

10 Things Matter In AI.
1. The LLM+ (Large Language Model). Because they
are improving and used in new ways like helping with
home work or searching information, which are close to
us students.
2. I will value them more. Because complex calculations
are already solved by human. Only creativity and human
intuition are what we different from machines. Our working
key point shifes from doing precise Calculations to asking
good questions and finding new inspirations.
3. Humanoid Data.
As a teenager in 2030, Molly experience human-
-like machines in her daily life. Every morning, the
robotic steward will serve her breakfast, then a life-like
driver will drive her all the way to school on a
motor bike. At school, there are robotic assistant - teacher
in class, managing the events class have, answer academic
questions; and even accompany students when they need. Some-
-times Molly felt warm as well as fear: what if one day
robots are no longer different from human? How would they
Page 1 shows a personal reflection on AI and humanoid robots, but it does not directly address any of the assigned articles. The student writes about '10 Things Matter In AI' and a fictional teenager Molly, which is creative but off-task for the given reading response homework.

manage human - and - robot relationships?

What matters are not numbers:
1. Once, my focus of on running set place on number
distance, and calories I lose along the way. But this
brings distress. I no longer enjoy running it-self. And
whenever I didn't get progress, I felt heavy pressure.
2. With no metrics, people will focus more on the
process than result, giving them more time for deep think
but on the other hand, no measurement means no regulation
people have no specific metric or data to compare two
things, leading to stagnant society progress. I think
the middle ground depends on how we use metrics:
don't avoid it, yet don't rely on it.
3. Now, I track my study with grades. I hope to
gain: 1. motivation to study 2. clear reflect on my
previous study condition. 3. adjustment to new problems
To be frank, the number won't change much about
what I value in study. I'll be depressed if my grade were
going down, but worth immense myself in it. I know that
Page 2 continues the personal reflection on metrics and running, then transitions to study habits. This is thoughtful but again not connected to the three provided articles. The student shows good self-awareness but is not completing the assigned exercises.

5. 3rd. The author argues that through measurement, we
neglect what truely matters. I agree. Firstly, foe focust
on metrics draws our attention from focusing on things itself,
which makes us perform poorer. Second, when the metrics
are not satisfying, it'll leads to unnecessary stress and depression.
6. For the brain implant. Policy makers may have a hard
time regulating it. On one hand, it really benefit paralyzed
people, giving them equal abilities. But if this is legal, some
criminals may steal private information through it.
7. Ist one. It's surprising to know that liberals and
conservations are resisting AI. We all admire its development,
but overlook the drawbacks. It brings AI, just like
internet, is a double edged sword. Using properly, it
leads to efficiency. Using inappropriately, it tends to brings
chaos and concerns.
Page 4 contains numbered responses that seem to address critical thinking prompts, but they are generic and do not reference the specific articles about balcony solar, AI jobs, or Claude Code. The student mentions 'brain implant' and 'liberals and conservations resisting AI,' which are not topics from the assigned readings.

I 1). I think the benefits overweight the risks. Because for a paralyzed
people, nothing could be worse. They already lose the ability to
talk, to work, to live like a normal people. BCI gives them a
chance to 宝成人价值, which means more than anything.
2). I think there should be limitation. Because BCI is still
experimental and has some risks. For paralyzed people, the risks meant
a little to them. But for normal ppl-people, it might means harm or
even paralyzing normal ones, so the application is limited. I would decide
only paralyzed people could use brain implant.

3). I hope it could help me to draw picture. As I imagine
my drawing, the robotic arm could move and put it into real ones. Its
accuracy surprised me, just how the very small insights in my
head could be captured by the machine and been drawn on the paper.
At the same time, I'm worried about my personal data privacy.
I sometimes felt scared, what if some one stole my personal information
through the brain plant.? What if the machine stopped working
one day? Every day, I nervously start the machine, released
when everything is fine. and devoted myself to the field
of art.
Page 5 continues the 'see_it_differently' exercise with a personal opinion on BCI and a creative scenario about drawing with a robotic arm. This is imaginative but does not engage with the provided articles. The student includes Chinese characters and shows some confusion about the assignment.
