Comprehension Check

Completeness: complete ยท Accuracy: good

Main ideas for articles 1โ€“4 are generally correct. Article 4 is misdated as 2028 instead of 2026. Article 3 says '5 Biology technology' instead of 'Five biotechnologies'. Q5 evidence is weak: 'scientific words and knowledge' is not a specific evidence citation. Suggest: 'It provide scientific words...' โ†’ 'The article provides specific examples, such as...'

Vocab Builder

Completeness: complete

Vocabulary sentences attempted. 'executed by treason' โ†’ 'executed for treason'; 'with stealth' โ†’ 'stealthily'; 'transfer to other markets' โ†’ 'expand into other markets'. The startup sentence needs a colon and clearer meaning.

Critical Thinking

Completeness: complete ยท Depth: deep

Thoughtful positions on AI dual-use, ethics of age reversal, AI-designed viruses, and humanoid robots. Uses evidence like 29% maternal deaths and complex tasks without trial-and-error. Grammar errors reduce clarity: 'them them', 'chims', 'these technology', 'infect'. Suggest: 'With quick reactions and fast speed, they are unstoppable' โ†’ 'Their quick reactions make them hard to stop'.

See It Differently

Completeness: complete ยท Depth: fair

Role-play responses are imaginative. Robot answer uses world models and risk prediction. Skeptic answer raises side effects and population. Innovator answer adopts Paschal Kija's voice. Some phrasing is awkward: 'If I'm the robot' โ†’ 'If I were the robot'; 'trying to find solution' โ†’ 'trying to find a solution'.

Quick Write

Completeness: complete ยท Depth: fair

Paragraphs are short but address prompts. Transport regulation paragraph is relevant but needs clearer cause-effect. Reprogramming paragraph misses Myc removal. New breakthrough paragraph is speculative but on-topic. Evidence answer is too general. Suggest: 'It provide scientific words and knowledge' โ†’ 'The article provides evidence such as...'

1. AI Agents Planning Ahead for the Unexpected

1. I think it is both, depending on how people
use it. Of course they can be helpful if people ask
them them to deliver packeges or execute tasks that
are dangerous to human since they can predict future
outcomes, completing complex tasks without real-world
-trial-and-error-training. But it can be destructive
when people use them to commit chims. With quick
reactions and fast speed, they are unstoppable.

2. If I'm the robot, after being pushed over, my
brain will search through world models I have been
trained with, trying to find solution. I can see that
if I keep this position, there will be a litle possibility
that someone will help me up, and most likely, a truck
will run over me, which gives me a shiver. Therefore,
I chose to stand up by myself.

3. It can help with transport regulation in the
city. Because planing ahead for the unexpected allows
AI agents to transit data of the vehicles' speed on the
street to possible dangers that may cause, providing
further plans or alarms before accident happens.
Content is accurate: the student sees AI agents as dual-use, cites prediction and complex tasks, imagines a robot using world models, and proposes transport regulation. Fluency is understandable but translation-like in places. Exact errors include 'them them' repetition, 'packeges' for packages, 'chims' for crimes, 'litle' for little, and 'planing' for planning. Suggest: 'trying to find solution' โ†’ 'trying to find a solution'; 'transit data of the vehicles' speed' โ†’ 'transmit data about vehicle speeds'; 'before accident happens' โ†’ 'before an accident happens'. Tense: 'I chose to stand up' should be 'I choose to stand up' in the conditional present. Focus on spelling, articles, and preposition use.

II Restore sight.

1. I think it is. Because while most of the people
can enjoy the beauty of the world, those with glaucoma
are deprived of this ability. By using age-reversal
technology to treat the diseases can help people see
the world again, which is ethical.

2. Firstly, they would worry about the side-effect
of anti-aging. Our gene controls much more than we
know, so simply changing one might cause unexpected
issues. Also, if anti-aging do happens, the issue
of population will be worse with people have endless
life and newborn keep giving birth. The earth can
no longer support such a growing population. But
Lu may address the first one through careful research
before putting anything into use. And about the second
one, there will be regulation against overdone anti-
aging if it do becomes true.

3. It works by introducing 4 key genes into one's body,
which are OSKM, so the stem cell will then act as if
it was plucked from an embryo. But adding all four will
turn people completely into baby- blobs of stem-cell
protoplasm, so Lu is keeping only OSK.
The student correctly supports using age-reversal for glaucoma and anticipates skeptic concerns about side effects and population. The reprogramming explanation is partly right but misses that Lu removed Myc because it is the most dangerous gene. Errors include 'most of the people' โ†’ 'most people'; 'Our gene controls' โ†’ 'Our genes control'; 'if anti-aging do happens' โ†’ 'if anti-aging does happen'; 'with people have endless life' โ†’ 'with people having endless lives'; 'it do becomes true' โ†’ 'if it does become true'. Suggest: 'By using age-reversal technology to treat the diseases can help people' โ†’ 'Using age-reversal technology to treat the disease can help people see the world again.' The answer shows good ethical reasoning but needs proofreading.

III. Biotech

1. I think using AI to design new viruses has the
greatest potential to improve people's lives. Because as
generative AI developing fast now, using them to create
the blueprint of DNA of viruses can enable us to use
viruses as useful tools in life. From cleaning up pollution
to controlling certain disease, this technology can
affect all parts of life.

2. Firstly, governments should regulate the usage
of these technology strictly, declaring the line between
safe and dangerous. Companies should apply the new-tech
carefully and keep them under control. Researchers should
do sufficient experiments and do enough research to
have a full view of what they are designing. With them,
the new-tech will work for all people in a good way.
3. I am Paschal kija. My work is a device
to treat postpartum hemorrhage - a dangerous bleeding
complication after child birth. It's very meaningful to
me because here in my country, the complication
causes about 29% of maternal deaths. I want to use
this technology to help my people.
Strong content: the student selects AI-designed viruses as highest potential, cites pollution and disease, and gives sensible regulation and research responses. The Paschal Kija role-play correctly uses the 29% maternal death statistic and the postpartum hemorrhage device. Language issues: 'as generative AI developing fast now' โ†’ 'as generative AI is developing quickly now'; 'these technology' โ†’ 'these technologies'; 'controlling certain disease' โ†’ 'controlling certain diseases'; 'child birth' โ†’ 'childbirth'; 'Paschal kija' โ†’ 'Paschal Kija'. Suggest: 'using them to create the blueprint of DNA of viruses' โ†’ 'using AI to create genetic blueprints for viruses.' The writing is clear but some phrases are informal, such as 'new-tech'.

IV 10. Breakthrough.
I think humanoid robots will have the biggest
impact in our life. They can be applied to almost
every part of our life. From companions to lifesavers
and to dilery person. And the developing of these
companies will bring huge infect in finance and
policy.
2. Base edited baby may bring some negative effect.
My point is it is a challenge to the meaning of human
existence : if a person's trait can be changed through
gene by computers, then who should take the responsibilities?
What's the meaning of this people's life if it is just
a program designed by others Since he/she was born.
We were dealt with what we have by nature, but
bring human affect in this process will bring ethical concems.
3. I think reversing the aging process to treat eye
disease should also add to the lo important
break throughs. This technology includes rewinding the
age of cells by resetting them to an embryonic-like
state. It may play an important role in treating
eye diseases.
The student answers all three prompts thoughtfully: humanoid robots' broad impact, ethical objections to base-edited babies, and adding age-reversal eye treatment to the list. Some content is speculative but supported. Errors: 'dilery' โ†’ 'delivery'; 'infect' โ†’ 'effect/impact'; 'Base edited baby' โ†’ 'Base-edited baby'; 'negative effect' โ†’ 'negative effects'; 'ethical concems' โ†’ 'ethical concerns'; 'lo important' โ†’ '10 important'; 'break throughs' โ†’ 'breakthroughs'. Suggest: 'We were dealt with what we have by nature' โ†’ 'We are given our traits by nature'; 'bring human affect' โ†’ 'human interference'. The argument is strong but needs clearer grammar and fewer spelling errors.

1. Hafner began training AI agents in a world model,
giving it the ability to plan ahead in real life tasks.
2. Ryan Lu design an age -reversal tech that could
help restore sight.
3. 5 Biology technology are introduced, explaining
how they would shape future.
4. There will be most important 10 break through in 2028, bringing
both positive and negative effect
5. It provide scientific words and knowledge to
support the main argument.

Word. Sentence.
startup A hot business startup in one
market can transfer to other markets.
stealth. He entered the room with stealth.
execute. He was executed by treason.
coy. She gave me a coy look from under
the schoolgirl's fringe.
The main-idea responses are mostly accurate, but Q4 says '2028' instead of 2026 and Q5 is too vague as evidence. Vocabulary sentences show effort, but 'He was executed by treason' should be 'executed for treason'; 'He entered the room with stealth' is better as 'He entered the room stealthily'; 'transfer' in the startup sentence should be 'expand into'. Grammar: 'Ryan Lu design' โ†’ 'designed'; '5 Biology technology' โ†’ 'Five biotechnologies'; 'shape future' โ†’ 'shape the future'; 'positive and negative effect' โ†’ 'effects'; 'It provide' โ†’ 'It provides'. Focus on subject-verb agreement, precise dates, and using specific article evidence.
